Holy Spirit Grief Support – Are you dreading the approaching holidays because you are grieving the loss of a loved one? Is the thought of planning, shopping, cooking and family gatherings causing additional stress? If so, please consider attending a Coping with the Holidays presentation on Sunday, Nov. 15th at 12:30 PM in the Social Hall. When you’re in the midst of pain, and the rest of the world wants to gather, give thanks and celebrate, you need to find ways to manage your pain and get through the day or the season with a minimum of stress. We will share coping skills, how to reduce stress, when to say no to festivities, be prepared for grief triggers, surround yourself with positive people and more on how to create a plan that will allow the holiday season to be as peaceful as possible. Family and friends are welcome. Light refreshments will be provided. For more information and/or to register, please contact Lori at 989.781.2457 or lori@saginawhsp.org.

Homebound Ministry Meeting
|
Father José will share instructions for the Rite of Distribution of Holy Communion to the Sick and Homebound on Tuesday, Nov. 10th at 6:30 PM in the church. This teaching is for ALL who are taking Communion to the sick and homebound, those interested in becoming a Homebound Minister and for those who take Holy Communion to their loved ones. Providing Communion to the sick and homebound is a sacred ministry that extends the parish Eucharistic celebration to those unable to attend Mass, including family and friends. This service is provided by trained Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion who act as a bridge of prayer, presence, and community. Ministers may visit homes, nursing facilities and hospitals for those that wish to receive Holy Communion. This ministry requires the completion of the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion and the Distribution of Holy Communion to the Sick and Homebound. For more information and/or to register, please contact Lori at 989.781.2457 or lori@saginawhsp.org.
