Father José Maria Cabrera

Fr. José Cabrera is the pastor of Holy Spirit Parish. He was ordained to the priesthood on June 8, 2007 and holds a Licentiate in Biblical Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. Father José is also the Vicar for Senior Priests of the Diocese of Saginaw.
Fr. José has a great love of Scripture and is the host of the Tuesday Online Bible Class of the Acts of the Apostles as part of the Diocese of Saginaw’s Year of the Holy Spirit. At various times throughout the year, he also teaches Scripture for the Ecclesial Lay Ministry Formation and Diaconate Formation Programs of the Diocese of Saginaw. Over the years, Father José has curated an extensive private collection of Biblical Manuscripts and artifacts – THE BIBLE MUSEUM: 4000 Years of Biblical History – which fits in one (large) room. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, fish keeping, writing Scripture by hand and editing videos for his YouTube channel.
