A Few Words from Father José
|
From the September 20 Bulletin reflection …
“Catechetical Sunday (Sept. 20 this year) is a reminder of how important it is to pass on the torch of faith to everyone around us. We only teach what we find valuable. We only share what is meaningful to us. A good question for all of us is: do you speak about your Catholic Faith with other people? Or do you hide it? Hopefully we all make it a priority to share our faith because it is the only way to bring others to Christ.”

Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick after Masses this weekend – Oct. 3 & 4
|
Father José would like to keep the tradition of offering the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick during the first weekend of the month. This means that he will offer this powerful sacrament of healing this weekend of Oct. 3 and 4 after all Masses.
Once Mass is ended, those seeking the sacrament please go to the chapel and wait for him there. It will be helpful if those seeking the sacrament sit on the front row, it will be helpful to Father José so that he will have better access to their foreheads and palms of their hands as the ritual of anointing requires.
The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is for those who are experiencing a health condition and seek healing. It is also ideal for people waiting for important medical procedures. Blessed be God who heals us in Christ!

Outside Mass at the Grotto
for Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary
|
October 7 is the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. This year we will celebrate the 8:00 AM Mass at the Grotto behind the church. The Knights of Columbus will provide shuttle service to those who park in the back parking lot. Or you can make your way to the grotto and park there on the grass. BRING YOUR LAWN CHAIR and wear your coat and mittens (it may be a cold morning). The Knights of Columbus will pray a Rosary after Mass. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us! (In the event of rain, the Mass will take place in church as usual.)
